27- May Knock and Overcome
1 John 5:4 …for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (NIV)
Maybe you think you are not blessed with a strong faith like some people. You are just you and you have just enough faith to believe that Jesus saved you and no more. Well, that’s not what the Word says. Romans 12:3 tells us that God has given each of us the measure of faith that we need. It would be unfair of God if He failed to give us enough to sustain us, wouldn’t it?
No, the problem isn’t the amount of faith that we have, it’s the amount of exercising we have done with our faith in Jesus. Faith muscle requires stretching. So act in faith and believe this Word — we overcome the world, unemployment, poverty, failure, disease, through faith in the work and love of Jesus. The victory is promised but we have to take it by faith.
DECLARE THIS:
• I am born of God and I overcome the circumstances of this world.
• By faith I declare that Jesus is more than enough and in Him I have victory.
• I thank God that I have the faith I need to overcome all of life’s challenges.
