24- February      Knock and Bring Gifts

Ephesians 4:28  If you are a thief quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.

This may seem an unusual choice of scripture for those who are looking for work. But let’s remember that unemployment is a temporary condition—you won’t always be without a job. That’s why it’s important to plan for the way you’ll behave when you start working again. Take a moment and examine your motive for working. Do you still think you’re working for a living, or have you come to realize that you are working in order to give? This Word makes it clear — we work in order to give generously to others.

Declare that as your primary reason for seeking work, put the Kingdom first, and see what God will do to “set you up” as a Kingdom resource for others. John Wesley put it this way, “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.” Let’s practice that mindset now and let it carry us into our next position in the workplace.

DECLARE THIS:
• I live to give and know that my Father does the same!
• By faith I believe all my needs are met by God, so I can focus on giving to others.
• I work hard in order to bless others and show God’s love to them.
