9-September Choose Your Behavior
John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
There’s a beautiful old hymn that says, “Breathe on me, breath of God. Fill me with life anew. That I may love what Thou dost love, and do what Thou wouldst do.” We need His breath to fill us. We need His life to flow into us. Job seekers want phone calls to turn into interviews and interviews to turn into offers. Yet fruit is only guaranteed to those who are being fed by the Word flowing through their minds and hearts.
Let the life and love of Christ feed you by staying in constant communion with Him. Just like a branch that receives sap from the vine, we will produce the fruit if we stay firmly connected to Him. Then we will love what Jesus loves and do what Jesus would do.
DECLARE THIS:
• I am connected to the Vine of abundant life and I bear much fruit.
• By faith I accept that all my good comes from Christ as my source.
• I thank God that I have been grafted into Christ and I am firmly rooted in His Kingdom.
