11-February      Ask Expecting Results

James 5:16  Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (NLT)

The earnest prayer of a righteous person produces wonderful results… not sometimes, but all the time. Do you honestly expect to see results every time you pray? When you don’t see results, do you just let it go or do you get on your face before the Lord to find out why not? We’ve been made righteous in Christ, so the issue can’t be our righteousness. Or can it? If we’re praying and thinking we have to be righteous through our own doing there will be no power in our prayers. We must fully comprehend that we stand in Christ’s righteousness.

If we aren’t seeing results we have to examine ourselves to find out why not. So start with this — expect results. And when they’re not there, don’t ask God why He didn’t answer; ask “Where have I missed it, Lord?” or “How can I cooperate with Your will?”

DECLARE THIS:
• I know my prayers have great power because I have the righteousness of Christ backing them up.
• By faith I believe that God answers prayers when we pray in the character and pattern of Jesus..
• I trust the Holy Spirit to teach me how to pray in a way that consistently gets results.
