Isaiah 43:2     When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;  And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,  Nor shall the flame scorch you. (NKJV)

This is a bad news/good news scripture. The bad news is that we will have to pass through high waters and walk through fire. Nobody wants to hear that. But the good news is, we won’t go under when the floods come. We won’t be burned or scorched. Remember that part. If you recall, God has already done this with three Hebrew children in a fiery furnace. That fire was so hot the guards died just getting close enough to throw them into it! Yet the three young men experienced only the burning away of the bonds that had held them.

Hold that picture in your mind. With Christ in us we will walk right into whatever circumstances come at us, knowing that we’ll emerge on the other side freer than we were when we started.

• In Christ I am well able to handle any circumstance that comes.
• I expect trials and challenges. My faith grows strong as I overcome them.
• By faith I receive God’s promise of deliverance and victory.
