1 Corinthians 2:10-14 The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. Who ever knows what you’re thinking and planning except you yourself? The same with God—except that he not only knows what he’s thinking, but he lets us in on it. God offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us. We don’t have to rely on the world’s guesses and opinions. We didn’t learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through Jesus, and we’re passing it on to you in the same firsthand, personal way. The Message Bible just hits the nail on the head with this scripture. Study the picture presented here. God is standing in eternity, seeing everything from beginning to end. He has, from that perspective, already provided every gift we’re going to need for an abundant life and the path that will lead us to it. Now He turns to us and says, through the Spirit living inside us, “Let me tell you what I have arranged for you — life, salvation, understanding, prosperity, every good and perfect thing.”
Many job seekers worry that they’ll take the wrong job, say the wrong thing, or make the wrong decision. Not to worry! In a first-hand, personal way the Holy Spirit will tell us things directly from the heart of God. Our part is to focus our full attention on Him… and wait to act until we hear His voice!
