(6-23-22) I never thought about the fact that we row a boat towards our destination with our back facing the direction we are headed. What an amazing metaphor this is for “walking by faith”! Dutch Sheets talked about this in a Give Him 15 episode and he reminded us to fix our eyes on the guiding star of the past–remembering what God has promised, what He has done for us, the prophetic words we have been given, what our experiences have revealed about our callings, gifts and design. Let’s stop straining to try and see into the future. Let’s stop trying to figure out the way to go for ourselves. Let’s just trust that God IS guiding us and He will lead us to our promised Jeremiah 29:11 future as we walk with Him. What a relief! Check out this complete message…it is so powerful!
