20-September Seek to Stay Focused on Jesus
Hebrews 4:16 Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said, “I will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!” Jesus responded, “Salvation has come to this home today, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham.
Look at the transformation in this man’s life. Obviously, Zacchaeus “got it”! He received the revelation that he was loved and accepted by God, and he understood that Jesus was his Lord. Immediately he completely changed his business practices to align with the character of God and the ways of the Kingdom. And here’s the best part…not only was Zacchaeus’ life transformed, but so was the entire village where he lived. Imagine your joy is the taxman showed up at your door to refund money to you, many times greater than what you paid. Blessed to be a blessing!
The same thing is promised to us. When we encounter Jesus at a deep and personal level, all our behaviors will be changed to line up with His Word. A mind renewed and a heart filled with the love of Christ equals a transformed life…and blessings enough for others! Let that be true of us.

• I am the seed of Abraham and his covenant blessing is mine.
• By faith I receive the transforming presence of Jesus Christ in my life.
• I willingly allow the Word of God to make me a new creation.
