17-September     Seek the Direction of the Holy Spirit

Proverbs 3:5-6    Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.  In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. (Amplified)

Do you think it’s possible that God would hear us ask Him to show the way, see us put our trust in Him, and then just let us fail? Could He hold our solution and fail to cut through our confusion to make Himself heard? What kind of Father would do that to His children?

God never walks us into traps and He will never permit us to make a wrong step if we’re listening to Him. If His Word says “He will direct, and make straight and make plain our path,” then that’s exactly what He will do. Our task is to seek Him and to wait until an answer comes that we understand and can follow with peace in our hearts. When we follow the Word of God we cannot fail.

DECLARE THIS:
• I know that I don’t know enough to make my own plans for my life.
• By faith I receive God’s help to grow my trust and confidence in Him. He will help me in my unbelief.
• The path the Lord has for me is straight, wide, and plain. He sets my boundaries in pleasant places.
