16-September     Seek Self Awareness

Galatians 6:7-8       Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

Do we have God’s priorities when it comes to our personal lives? We might not think this is an issue right now. We just want a job, right? But God has something else in mind. God wants us and He wants us perfected. We’ll hurt ourselves and stall our progress if we don’t pay attention to this. We can’t receive a perfect job assignment from God while holding on to disobedience and sin.

What is God trying to do in you? Is He calling for temperance in your eating habits, or some other behavior change? Do you need to get out of some bad relationships? We cannot plant seeds of disobedience and expect a harvest of blessing. So drop everything that isn’t pleasing to God, then expect a harvest of everlasting and abundant life! Oh, and if you don’t know if something in your lifestyle is hindering you, ask.  The Holy Sirit is faithful to reveal and to lead if we are willing to listen and obey.

DECLARE THIS:
• I choose to live a Kingdom lifestyle and to give up every sinful behavior.
• I receive by faith the ability to walk in line with God’s will for my life.
• I have, in Christ, the ability to break every bad habit and turn away from every wrong behavior.
