17-August Seek the Direction of the Holy Spirit
Romans 5:5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
We can get our minds so fixed on a particular outcome that we place all our hope in it to solve our problems. Then, if it doesn’t come to pass as we expected, the disappointment is great. But God offers a different hope. He gives us the Holy Spirit to fill us completely with His awesome and perfect love. When we experience that love we know that all is well and we will be victorious. Will you put your hope in the fact that God loves you perfectly and is making a way for you, or are you going to put your hope in getting that particular job, or selling that project? If we choose to place our hope in the Holy Spirit, we will know with confidence that we will not be disappointed.
DECLARE THIS:
• I have a hope that will not disappoint.
• By faith I receive a revelation of God’s love for me and my heart is filled with His presence.
• Because I keep my hope in God alone as I look for my next job, I will not experience disappointment.
