20-May Seek to Stay Focused on Jesus
Colossians 2:6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. (NLT)
There are many who accept Jesus as their Savior without ever realizing that He is also their Lord and Master. Upon receiving His salvation we committed our lives to His service. We owe obedience to Him. The great news is that the reward for following Him is awesome! As we let our roots grow down into Him we secure our lives from being battered by the storms we face, including unemployment.
Grow roots. Build upon Him. Then our job search will be built on a solid foundation and we’ll have unshakeable confidence. Life built on the Rock will cause us to “overflow with thankfulness!”
DECLARE THIS:
• I thank God that my life is rooted and grounded in Him.
• By faith I receive Christ as my Lord and the Holy Spirit as my guide.
• I am so grateful that I don’t have to struggle. My life is built on Him.
