17-March    Seek the Direction of the Holy Spirit

Proverbs 3:5-6   Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (NLT)

Obviously there is a difference between trusting God and depending on our own understanding. We have to make the decision to trust God’s way, no matter what. The way of the world is to look for any available job and try to talk our way into it. We’re supposed to accept that we’ll have to take a pay cut and probably move to some place we don’t want to live. We’re expected to be grateful for the “crumbs that fall from the table.” But does any of that sound like abundant life, the promise of the Lord? No, the world’s perception is fear-based and desperate. We have to be sure we’re standing on God’s Word. Trusting God is our way out of the jobless wilderness and into the promised land of employment.

DECLARE THIS:
• I am not unemployed; I work for the Lord.
• By faith I take actions in line with God’s Word and the leading of the Spirit.
• I will not move in fear or desperation. The Lord orders my steps.
