13  January    Ask About Your Gifts

1 peter 4:10  Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. (NIV)

Have you ever experienced the great joy of doing something you really love? Amazingly, when we use our God-given gifts and talents we do our best work and we are satisfied. Doesn’t it show the love of God that He would make us good at something and use those same gifts to make us happy?

But notice the purpose here. Our talents and gifts were given for service to others. If we try to use them selfishly or hoard them until the “offer is right” they’ll produce no fruit. So use your gifts — give them away for a while if you have to — and they’ll produce a harvest for both you and the Kingdom.

DECLARE THIS:
• I thank God for my gifts and talents. I dedicate them to His service.
• All that I am and all that I am capable of achieving is because of God and I am grateful.
• By faith I receive empowerment to use all my gifts for God’s glory.
