12-January Ask For First Things First
John 14:16 “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.” (NLT)
Say this request out loud right now — “Lord, make me aware of your presence within me. Teach me to be led by your Spirit.” Now you’re ready to look for a job. Sadly, most job seekers never find this internal source of direction. They go to bed every night wondering if they spent their time well. Did they do all they could do to get back to work, they wonder?
How about you? Do you recognize God’s voice when He speaks to you? Can you settle down at night confident that you were always in the right place doing the right things? If not, ask Him to teach you to listen.
DECLARE THIS:
• I receive by faith the Holy Spirit of God as an indwelling presence in my life.
• I trust the leading of the Holy Spirit and I listen for His voice.
• I thank God that I will never be left alone or without direction.
